Take your time to read this carefully:

  • Your project MUST be produced under the supervision of your teacher in class. You should understand this from the very beginning of your work.
  • You may MAY finish coursework at home that you start in class and it should clearly be the same work.
  • You may NOT start work at home, your teacher needs to supervise your work MOST OF THE TIME.
  • You MAY prepare material to bring in to school to refer to when you produce your coursework.
  • You MAY do additional research at any time as long as it is material that you bring to your class to 'write' up along with everyone else in lesson time.
  • Your whole project MUST be produced in lesson time under the supervision of your teacher.
  • You will only be allowed to start and finish your project when your teacher says so.
  • You will be allowed to have exactly the same time as every other student, but no more (around 40 hours).
  • You will be allowed 15 minutes each lesson for setting up and packing away. Working time will be exactly 1 hour per lesson.
  • You MAY use a school laptop / PC or bring in your own.
  • You MAY use any software that you like.
  • You MUST give your teacher a soft copy of the work at the end of each lesson. This will be given back to you to continue if appropriate. Your teacher will explain their own arrangements for how this should be done (ie use the 'Drop Box', thumb drive, etc.).
  • YOU are responsible for keeping backup copies of all your work. Your teacher will do their best to keep copies but the responsibility for the safekeeping of your coursework is yours and yours alone. If you lose your work, you MUST tell your teacher immediately.
  • If you are ABSENT, you may ask your teacher if they can supervise you at a different time. ie before school, long break, etc. You may only work on the task that you were absent for. If you know in advance that you are going to be absent, tell your teacher immediately. If you don't, you may lose that time altogether.
